Duathlon

On Monday a team of Year 5/6 children represented St Albans School at the
Canterbury Primary Schools’ Duathlon held at Ruapuna Speedway.
It was a fantastic event for children who enjoy endurance sports,
as it involved a 2km run, 6 km cycle and finished with a 1km run.
There were over 1000 children competing in the event and all the St Albans School children raced well,
with Otto taking out a podium place by finishing 2nd in the year 6 boys’ race.

Winter weekly sports

Winter weekly sports 

Our winter weekly sports will be starting Friday 17th May.

Trials for the these will be held 28th March and a second trial held 4th April giving all the children plenty of time to practice for what they are interested in trialing for

 

The following sports are what we will be trialling for:

Rugby

Hockey

Netball 

Football

Basketball

These will be played weekly at South Hagley Park/ Nunweek park

Basketball -  Out of school hours at Bishopdale YMCA starting Thursday 9th May finishing 29th August. These games are held Thursday afternoons between 3.30pm and 8pm.
