Last week twenty-four children represented St Albans School at the North Zone’s Cross Country at Murchison Park. The children ran exceptionally well and achieved some outstanding results. Otto placed 1st in the Year 6 boys’ race, Harry W placed 1st in the Year 5 boys’ race, Daisy placed 2nd in the Year 5 girls’ race and Ciara placed 3rd in the Year 6 girls’ race. Also qualifying for the North Zone team to compete in the Canterbury Primary Schools Cross Country on the 19th June are Maya, Lily M, Georgetta, Matthew, Davi and Mischa, with Charley and Alex M as 1st reserves. Many thanks go to all the parents who helped with transport, marshalling and turned up to support the children on the day.

wintertrials 2019

WINTER TRIALS

We have now completed our winter trials, the results will be up on the window of hubs 8-10 early next week. Those that have made teams will participate at Hagley and Nunweek Parks starting  Friday 17th  May.

We had a fantastic outcome, and were blown away by the amount of children that wanted to trial. We loved the enthusiasm and felt by putting themselves 'out there' this should be recognised and celebrated so we decided to create St Albans sport teams to enable the other students to grow their skills in the sports they have shown an interest in, this also giving an opportunity for some good healthy competitive games at school each Friday afternoon. Well done to ALL !!
